She's our younger German shepherd. She's always been a bit of a bully to smaller dogs, but she's really, really good around people. And she's a really pretty dog, too.

I'm probably going to be quite down about this for a while.

A guy is coming in about an hour and a half to take her away.

This is/was Breagha (on the left) http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=537b6o7pg0.jpg

An update regarding my weekend, I suppose. I will be fairly brusque in my description, as I suck at talking in detail about my life.

Friday was the night of the anooses flat warming party, so my maw picked me up from work while I got freshened up and packed some shit in a carryall before Grieveson picked me up in his skodamobile. Got down to Aberdeen in fairly good time, with the usual whiny calls for Gus and Ray about when exactly we would be turning up.

Stopped at the airport to pick up Ray (who is from Banff) before checking out this new ginger girl a random at the Europcar lot said was hot. Sadly, she was not. Followed this up by nipping into the big tesco by Inshes to grab a few voddys and tinnies, before picking up david lee (who was off his tits).

Stopped at Angus's, typical usual "non art student" at an art student gathering moment for me, grieveson and Ray I think, but the brews were flowing well and it didn't take long before Angus' flatmate and me started talking about whisky and beer (bit like the Pogues, I expect).

Got trashed in the flat for a couple of hours before going to Espionage to meet up with a few other boys. Espionage was well full of black dudes- like, totally. We felt like a white ring amongst the darkness. Ray had the cheek to tell the old:

"What do you call a black man with a stutter? A co-coon" joke.

Random black guy was not impressed.

Euan's girlfriend nearly beat me in a pint downing contest, winning the first chug 6 secs to 8.1secs, but my second and third attempts were both under 4 seconds, so she was sent home licking her wounds.

Carried on like this to 2 AM, me doing my "sleepwalk" dance until I nipped out for a munch and headed back to Gus's.

Crashed out in the foot room with Ray and Clive before waking up to Mario Kart, Critters, Buffalo. picked up a mcdonalds- the mcflurry was great, the rest shite.

Watched football focus and realised county got their first home win of the season in the league with me 120 miles away.

Got home at 9:30 and went to bed.

The end.

Will update the weekend with Joey later.

Wow

Joey and I went out for a meal in Dingwall last night to a little restaurant that I had never been to before called "Dings". Wasn't expecting much (as it is in Dingwall, home of the wuddybuck and "dingwall double"*). Was really suprised to find out it was a charming little restaurant with a very nice atmosphere that reminded me a little of the Jasmine Palace in Whitehave.

I had:

Won Ton Soup
Starter Platter
Yaki Udon

Joey Had:

Chicken noodle soup
starter platter
Special Chow Mein (with more chicken, obviously)

We finished it off with a pot of green tea, and everything was utterly delicious. Would recommend to anyone who ever comes to Dingwall (i.e nobody).

*The Dingwall Double is the two pub experience known as the Mallard/Picturehouse combination. Anyone with an ounce of sense goes home after the Mallard kicks out at 12:30 as the Picturehouse is a fun experience in boredom, shit fights and overpriced beer. Oh, and the same romper stomper music that went out of fashion circa 1986.

only the two joey's will understand what i mean

She pretty much forced me into posting this (but I still love her).

She sent up a birthday in a box which consisted of:

A card made by her maw (which is really well made)
A watch to replace the one I broke (from her parents)
A Mr-T design t-shirt (Parents)
A "to the pub" t-shirt (Parents)
A Red Sparowes CD
A Mono/World's End Girlfriend CD
And some muffins

I :<3: Joey.

Now to go to work on my actual birthday.

In essence,

Been pretty busy over the last weekend.

Finished up at work and went up to see AvP:R at the cinema with clive and his new girlfriend plus pedro. stopped off for a couple of beers in the czech pub pivo and imbibed some quality slavic beer. AvP was fucking awful, as expected- but the Alien/Predator fanboy in me forced me to see it. I repeat; do not watch this film. Stayed out for a couple more beers with clive before heading back.

saturday was quiet up to the football at 3. county vs. airdrie. 1st against 3rd. good game with county playing some solid stuff, with the last kick of the ball resulting in county's third goal (and winner) in a 3-2 win. It's not often so many grown men will hug total strangers in joy. Lost my phone in the ruckus, but managed to pick it up from the oounty reception- after shaking hands with wee Deek Adams. had another night out as it was john maxwell's 23rd. he was in good form and scotty boy and fat chris joined us. good night out.

sunday was meant to be nice and quiet, as i slept in for most of the day, but scott persuaded me to catch "the almighty" at the ironworks. good start as rangers beat the caley scum 1-0. before that we stopped in weatherspoons for a munch. i chose the "surf & turf" combinatio of scampi, chips and steak. good stuff. watched some of the madrid derby as well. the gig was quality. the underliners were solid enough, but almighty were immense. good blend of thin lizzy/alice cooper/megadeath. topped it off with an encore which included a metal cover of "sabotage" by the beastie boys.

good weekend, and joey is here tomorrow!

This was a triumph
I'm making a note here
Huge success.
It's hard to overstate
my satisfaction.
Aperture Science
We do what we must
Because we can
For the good of all of us
Except the ones who are dead

But there's no sense crying
over every mistake
You just keep on trying
'til you run out of cake
And the science gets done
And you make a neat gun
For the people who are still alive

I'm not even angry
I'm being so sincere right now
Even though you broke my heart
And killed me.

And tore me to pieces
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you!

Now these points of data make a beautiful line
And we're out of beta
We're releasing on time.
And so I'm GLaD I got burned
Think of all the things we learned
For the people who are
Still alive.

Go ahead and leave me
I think I prefer to stay inside
Maybe you'll find someone else
To help you.
Maybe Black Mesa...
That was a joke,
haha
Fat chance
Anyway this cake is great
It's so delicious and moist

Look at me still talking
When there's science to do
When I look up there
It makes me GLaD I'm not you
I've experiments to run
There is research to be done
On the people who are
Still alive!

And believe me I am still alive
I'm doing science and I'm still alive
I feel fantastic and I'm still alive
While you're dying I'll be still alive
And when you're dead I will be still alive.
STILL ALIVE!
Still alive!

i finished the way i like ending a year; drinking from a fine bottle of scottish single malt whisky and kicking with friends.

2007 was fairly decent overall. can't be having with a massive update for the memories, so "fairly decent" will work.

I guess christmas is the time of giving, after all.

So yeah, I've been uploading a shitload of music on AL's "christmas music swap" thread, so I thought I'd post be gifts here too.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/nzjto1

BBQ Chickens, "Fine songs, playing sucks".

A hardcore punk album from Japan. Basically it's pop songs covered by a bunch of crazy japs. It should suck...but it doesn't. Listnening to a backstreet boys song never seemed so awesome.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/assrzn

Electric Eel Shock, "Beat Me".

Another japanese band, but this time a more tradtional hard rock/metal threesome. Saw them live and they were great, real crowd pleasers. Great songs to get you going. Especially "Bastard".

http://www.sendspace.com/file/qdj5mx

Chavex, "Ride the Fader".

Nice and accesible math rock with an awesome ending track in "you must be stopped".

http://www.sendspace.com/file/tux3ql

Against Me! - Searching for a former sense of clarity

Probably not their most true album, as it is the first on that strays away from the stripped down anarchopunk feels of earlier relases, but it hits the right note between values and production that gives it a rough sound. it also has two of my favourite against me! songs.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/3k2tw7

Dark Moor - Hall of the Olden dreamer

Great Italian symphonic metal with some catchy guitar lines. Good stuff. also, maid of orleans is awesome.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/v23s3j

Woods of Ypres, "Pursuit of the sun and the allure of the earth"

This is a great album. All I need to say.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last month I pulled over and changed [info]xxblackmagexx's flat tire (15 points). In May [info]tene_faust and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In November I gave [info]fatchocobo a Dutch Oven (-10 points). Last Sunday I committed genocide... Sorry about that, [info]alththenoob (-5000 points). In March I caught a purse-snatcher who stole [info]hikaruuchiha's purse (30 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-5015 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!

Sincerely,

So yeah, 'cause we can't be together over the festive period (though it might have been possible due to me working mon-fri, the tickets were extortinate).

to quickly summarise what's happened:

- we put up the christmas decorations for joey's little purple tree.
- we went to whitehaven for a look around which ended up with joey getting three extra presents.
- went to the pub last night and i tried to teach joey how to play pool. she is a bit better now.
- watched genshiken and makai senki disgaea

Joey got me the follwing things: Gurren Lagann model, which she then went and made, the peel sessions faLL box set (which is rad) and the first four volumes of welcome to the N.H.K (which looks pretty funny, yet disturbing). she was good to me :)

and her parents got me a crossword game...which my maw will probably steal as soon as she sees it.
